This Olympia-based three-piece haunts our waking dreams. Their sometimes-noisy, sometime- droning, witchy pop is polished with a shoegaze-y beauty that conjures ‘90s grunge angst.

NEW THIS YEAR
Penumbra Beer Bash is providing VIP ticket holders with early entry at 4pm for a whole hour of exclusive VIP time in the venue with breweries and a private performance by a local musical Genius Award recipient Lori Goldston. She is a force of fiece, searing cello evocation. Ever heard of Nirvana’s Unplugged, yeah, she was there. Get to the event early with your VIP tickets to spend time with Lori Goldston and the breweries.
VIP tickets just keep getting better. This year we thought, why don’t we pair our delicious, hand-crafted beers with the bitchin', hand-crafted snowboards at Lib Tech. Each VIP ticket holder is entered to win one of two snowboards by Lib Technologies based here in Washington. Can’t get more local than this! Handcrafted in the USA near Canada.
Also, just like last year, this ticket includes infused tastes from the Randall Cup Competition.
Each ticket comes with entry into the event but also provides you with 7 drink tokens to start off the evening. More tokens can be purchased for those beer diehards, because you’re going to want to taste all the beers. A single token is $1.50 or 3 for $5.00 or 7 for $10. That’s a killer deal!
Everyone needs a cup to commemorate this fine event. We give you a 5 oz. taster to sample the finest brews the Northwest has to offer.
I know you’re dying to grab your tickets. Throughout this site you can find a link to BUY TICKETS. Look, even that was linked. This event is likely to sell out in advance so buy early and check the website the day of the show if you are planning to just show up.

Have we recommended using public transportation yet? Please be responsible and have a designated driver! From I5 North or South, merge onto I90 East. Take exit 3 for Rainier Avenue South. Make Right onto Rainier Avenue South. Make right onto Martin Luther King JR. Way South. Make immediate right onto S. Winthrop Street. King’s Hall will be past the Mount Baker Light Rail Station on your right.
The King's Hall parking lot will be available for Penumbra's beer loving crowd, but space is limited and on a first come, first serve basis. Street parking in the neighborhood is plentiful. We get sleepy in the winter. It is dark and cold and wet. We see less shows, see less of our friends, and conserve energy to use in those far-distant five days of summer. To hell with all that! Let's drink great local beer, dance to awesome music and celebrate the LAST WEEKEND of Winter in Seattle at a crazy underground events space strategically located right behind Mt. Baker Light rail.

We'd love to have you. Drop us a line at info@penumbrabeerbash.com and we'll rap about how boss this event will be.
Special thanks to Amanda Krutenat and Mark Leavens for curating music and brews and for wrangling some of the most creative aspects of this event. We also want to thank all the beer vendors, bands and King’s Hall first and foremost. Without them, none of this could be possible. All the creatives that helped with design and development- you fucking rule. Yeah, I’m talking about Rob Stanton and Brian Behrens. A big thanks to Seth True for making The Randall Cup trophy. Also, the hard-working, sweat-beading, backwards bending volunteers that gave us their time and tears. Can't thank you all enough. And last, but certainly not least, we'd like to thank Evangeline Spracklin for all her help with the interior decor.

You’re probably dying to know when the next Penumbra Beer Bash will be. I don't blame you! You’ve helped make this event a very fun and successful party. Thank you for supporting it and making it happen!
You will be happy to know that we are actively trying to make the next installment of PBB even better than the last. But this year's PBB will be postponed until we have satisfied our standards of what a beer and music festival should always be.
We kindly ask that you, as a Penumbra Beer Bash fan, be patient and understand we are trying to bring you the highest quality bash possible. Until then, drink local, listen local.
Best,
